Youth Development Coalition of Lincoln County

Our Mission:

       ~ensure that great youth programs are

          available to kids throughout the County

         ~promote quality standards and the use of best

          practices in afterschool and youth service   

          programs

        ~avoid duplication and fill gaps by planning

          together and sharing information and

          resources

        ~support programming for local youth

           through grants and fundraising

        ~advocate for kids - act as a unified and

           consistent voice for afterschool and other

           youth and family services


Our Countywide Goal:

Create an culture of inclusive, innovative connections for youth of Lincoln County.

 

 

Our Members include youth-serving local nonprofits, city parks and recreation departments, county agencies and organizations that provide direct youth services.

         ~21st Century Afterschool Program - LCSD
 Sites in Siletz, Toledo Elementary, Taft, Sam Case, and Crestview Schools
         ~ Salvation Army - Newport
         ~ Newport Parks & Recreation Dept -
          Afterschool, non-school days, summers & youth sports

The Youth Development Coalition shares our experience with other Oregon emerging youth coalitions.  YDC has been a presenter at Oregon ASK Conference 2013 and Mayoral Summit held in Florence, OR in 2013.  Members of YDC are available for speaking engagements regarding youth program collaboration and collective impact process.
