Step Up Program

About us

Since 2013, the Step Up Program supports young people, ages 14-21, with academic completion (GED) and life skills training. In addition, community partners provide workshops covering relebant subjects, resulting in a robust approact to moving one's life forward.

Overview

YDC's Program is an opportunity to complete high school or its equivalency, explore post-secondary learning, earn a living wage, understand personal finances, gain information about landlord/tenant rentals, gain tools for conflict resolution, understand healthy lifestyles, and explore one's dream to grow.

Additional Information

- Complete your GED with in-person tutoring (English/Spanish) - Research your destiny as a living wage earner - prepare for academic or trades learning Combined with academic learning, is personal growth, life skills, and an opportunity to explore one's dreams and aspirations. Working with a case manager, one learns about becoming an independent member of the community able to support themselves.
